Good Traditions

Good Traditions Irish and Folk Band was set up during 2012 and was developed out of the musicians and singers who serve at Bath Street Church. However, we were short of one or two instruments and so we approached a couple of musicians from other churches who agreed to join our ministry.

Over the past few years, God has opened up many performing opportunities in a variety of places around the local area. We see our role as a Mission Team whose aim is to take the Christian message into dark places in which it would be difficult to preach the word or share our faith.

We have played at a wide range of venues and events so far including, a number of pubs, school and community fetes, leading worship in churches, evangelistic concerts in churches, a Sikh music event, and the Caldmore Village Festival. We have played over 100 gigs in the last five years.

We sing uptempo Christian folk songs, and lots of Irish folk music which usually guarantees a good sing-along and even some dancing!

We have recently recorded and produced our first ever CD- this is called 'Rovers and Vagabonds', and was recorded partly live. It is available for just £5 for an amazing 30 tracks!

Bath Street Band

A more rock-orientated band than Good Traditions the Bath Street Band was set up during 2010 and was again developed out of the musicians and singers who serve at Bath Street Church.

We have played at a wide range of venues and events so far including, a number of pubs, a Balti house, leading worship in churches, evangelistic concerts in churches, the Caldmore Village Festival and the famous rock venue 'The Robin 2' in Bilston. We sing both Christian songs and also secular songs with a spiritual undertone or edge, and we also use challenging videos to support our songs.
